A word from the founder

I love nature and its seasons, and I love our region on the Rhine and Lake Untersee. When it gets cooler, the mist hangs over the water and the cold creeps into your bones, something essential is missing for me as a Swiss with Norwegian roots: the SAUNA.

I know from my own experience how good a sauna is for body and mind: simply breathing deeply, feeling yourself, gazing into the distance, enjoying nature and recharging your energy. For me, a sauna is much more than heat. It means coming to rest, letting go of everyday life for a moment and spending time for yourself, with your family or with friends. Here we laugh, chat and philosophise – and sometimes we simply share a quiet silence.

From this feeling grew the wish to bring Nordic sauna culture to Lake Untersee, where I live with my family. The sauna project is both a heartfelt personal wish and a piece of future that I want to build for myself. I put a lot of energy and passion into it, because it gives me joy and at the same time does other people good.

I would like to bring my guests a little of the Nordic way of life. I hope they experience the soothing effect of the sauna for themselves and come to appreciate it just as much as my family and I do.
