House rules – self-service sauna

Bodensee-Sauna on Lake Untersee – Buebebadi Eschenz

Courtesy translation. In case of doubt, the German version applies.

1. Scope

These house rules apply to all visitors of the self-service sauna on Lake Untersee at the Buebebadi in Eschenz. By booking a time slot, the booking person agrees to these house rules and is responsible for ensuring that everyone they bring also follows them.

2. Booking and access

  • The sauna is operated without staff. There is nobody on site; in case of questions or problems we can be reached by phone or email (see Legal notice).
  • The sauna can only be booked online through our reservation system. A time slot lasts 1 to a maximum of 2 hours and is only possible during opening hours.
  • A booking is only valid once it has been paid in full.
  • Cancellations and refunds are not possible. A booking can be moved once to another free time slot of the same length up to 48 hours before it starts (page “Change booking”, booking number and email address required). Please check the date and time carefully before completing your booking.
  • You may pass the access code on to other people, along with the responsibility that comes with it.
  • The access code for the key box is sent to the booking person by text message and email immediately after booking. It is only valid for the booked time slot.
  • Please only enter the sauna area at the start of your booked time slot, out of consideration for the previous booking.
  • Leave the sauna by the end of your time slot at the latest, so that the next booking can start on time.

3. Use and capacity

  • The maximum number of people per booking is 6 and must not be exceeded.
  • During the booked time slot, the sauna is used exclusively by the booking group or individual. There is no staff on site.
  • Children may only use the sauna accompanied by, and under the constant supervision of, an adult.

4. Health and safety

  • You use the sauna at your own risk.
  • If you have cardiovascular conditions, are pregnant, or have other health limitations, we recommend seeking medical advice beforehand.
  • Using the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside the sauna.
  • Only use the sauna if you feel well and with company – leave immediately if you feel unwell.
  • Drink enough water.
  • Take regular rest breaks.
  • Cooling off in the lake is at your own risk. Please be careful, especially when the water is cold, and always go with company.
  • Do not pour too much water on the stones, and pour from the side (risk of burns from hot steam).
  • For infusions, only use the water provided; no oils, fragrances or other additives without prior consultation.
  • The heater is fixed at 80 °C and runs automatically, so every group enjoys the same great conditions. Fresh air supply and ventilation are taken care of. Please do not change the air vent or the sauna controls.
  • Open flames, your own heat sources or candles are not allowed in the sauna.
  • Glass bottles and glass containers are not permitted in the sauna area for safety reasons.

5. Conduct and consideration

  • The sauna is textile-free. In the outdoor area, wear swimwear or a bathrobe.
  • Please shower before using the sauna.
  • The use of shower gel or shampoo is prohibited.
  • Always use your own towel to sit or lie on in the sauna.
  • Be considerate towards neighbours and other bathers, especially in the evening and at night (noise, music, parking).
  • Dogs are not allowed in the immediate sauna area.

6. Cleanliness and condition after use

So that the next guests find a clean sauna that is ready to use, please do the following before you leave:

  • Do not wear shoes in the sauna room.
  • Keep the sauna room and changing room clean with the Swiffer.
  • Dispose of all your own waste in the bin.
  • Put loungers, benches and furniture (including in the rest tent) back in their place.
  • Close the sauna door (otherwise the heater will stop working) and switch off the lights in the sauna and changing room.
  • Lock the sauna wagon and return the key to the key box (it locks by itself).
  • The sauna heater and the outdoor lighting switch off automatically.

If the sauna is left in a heavily soiled or damaged condition, we reserve the right to charge the cleaning or repair costs to the booking person.

7. Liability

  • You use the sauna, the sauna grounds and the lake access at your own risk.
  • We accept no liability for valuables you bring with you.
  • The booking person is liable for damage caused by improper use and for lost keys.

8. Questions or problems

If you have technical problems with the key box, the access code or the sauna itself, please contact us immediately using the contact details given in your booking confirmation.
