Terms and conditions
Courtesy translation. This English text is provided for convenience only. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails (Deutsche Fassung).
1. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to the booking and use of the sauna operated by Lars Hovind (the "Operator"). By booking, you accept them.
2. Booking
The sauna is booked in time slots of 60 minutes. Up to 2 consecutive time slots can be booked per booking. The free time slots shown on the booking page within opening hours can be booked. So that the heater has time to warm up, a time slot can only be booked if at least 60 minutes remain before it starts. A booking only becomes binding upon successful payment. An unpaid booking is released again after a short time.
3. Price and payment
The final price per time slot is CHF 50.00, regardless of time and occupancy (2 consecutive time slots: CHF 90.00). Due to the exemption from VAT liability (annual turnover below CHF 100,000), no VAT is shown (not subject to VAT pursuant to Art. 10 para. 2 of the Swiss VAT Act, MWSTG). Payment is made online through the payment service provider Stripe, using the payment methods offered at checkout (for example card or TWINT). After payment you will receive an invoice by email.
4. Cancellation and rebooking
Cancellation or refunds by the customer are excluded. A paid booking can, however, be moved once, free of charge, to another free time slot of the same length, up to 48 hours before the start of the booked time slot. This requires the booking number and the email address used for the booking (page “Change booking”). Price differences are neither refunded nor charged. A booking that has already been moved cannot be changed again. The new access code replaces the previous one; the Operator accepts no liability for use of the previous code outside its original time slot. If the sauna cannot be used at the booked time for reasons on the Operator's side (for example due to a technical fault), the Operator will offer a replacement date or refund the amount paid.
5. Vouchers
Vouchers are valid for one booking of 1 or 2 hours. The duration is stated on the voucher and must match the booked duration. Vouchers can be purchased online (a maximum of 10 per order). The price corresponds to the booking price for the respective duration (CHF 50.00 for 1 hour, CHF 90.00 for 2 hours).
The voucher codes are sent by email to the address provided immediately after successful payment. Please enter the address correctly and also check your spam folder. If the email does not arrive, contact the Operator (see legal notice).
A voucher is valid for one year from purchase or issue and can be redeemed only once, by any person who has the code. Vouchers cannot be combined, returned, exchanged or paid out in cash, and are not replaced if lost. After expiry, the voucher lapses without compensation. Clause 4 also applies to bookings made with a voucher.
6. Access and access code
You will receive your personal access code for the key box by text message to the mobile number provided and by email to the address provided, after payment. Please enter the number and address correctly. The code is only valid for the booked time slot. It may be passed on to other people; the booking person remains responsible for this. If neither the text message nor the email arrives (please also check your spam folder), contact the Operator (see legal notice).
7. Use of the sauna
The sauna is a self-service facility. You use it at your own risk and observe the rules posted on site and the house rules. Please leave the sauna clean and report any damage or faults to the Operator immediately. The Operator is liable within the limits permitted by law. Liability for slight negligence and for valuables is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
8. Data protection
For the booking, we process your name, your email address and your mobile number. We only pass them on as far as necessary for processing: to the payment service provider (Stripe), the SMS service (Swisscom), the hosting and email provider (Green.ch) and the provider of the access system (igloohome).
9. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the Operator's registered office, unless the law provides otherwise. In case of discrepancies between language versions, the German version prevails.
