Privacy policy

2. What data we process

When you book, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, and the date and time of the booking. When you pay, payment details are added, which are processed directly by Stripe. We only receive the confirmation and the details needed for the invoice, not your card number.

When you buy vouchers, we collect the buyer's name and email address and send the voucher codes by email.

If you subscribe to the newsletter on our website, we first send a confirmation link to your email address (double opt-in). If you tick the newsletter box when you book or buy a voucher, we also store your email address, title, name, language and the time of your sign-up in our newsletter list.

When you visit the website, technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address, time) is logged on the server.

3. Purpose

We process the data to handle your booking, to send you the access code by text message and email, to handle payment and invoicing, to operate the sauna (e.g. heating up) and to prevent abuse. The legal basis is performance of the contract.

The newsletter is only sent if you have asked for it (consent). It contains important news only (for example season opening, location or new opening hours), no advertising. The newsletter is written in German only. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every newsletter; we then stop sending it and keep only the fact of your unsubscription as proof. You can also ask us to delete your entry completely.

4. Service providers

We use the following service providers, to whom data is passed on as far as necessary for their service:

We run a WhatsApp channel (WhatsApp, Meta). Joining is voluntary and happens in WhatsApp itself. We only link to the channel and do not receive your phone number or your name. Followers cannot see each other. WhatsApp processes your data under its own privacy policy.

With service providers abroad, your information may be processed outside Switzerland. We make sure that adequate data protection is guaranteed.

5. Retention

We keep booking and invoice data for as long as statutory retention obligations require (generally ten years for business records). We delete other data as soon as it is no longer needed.

6. Your rights

Under the Swiss Data Protection Act you have the right to access, rectification and deletion of your data, unless a retention obligation prevents it. Write to us at kontakt@bodensee-sauna.ch.

The fonts of this website are loaded from our own server; no information is transmitted to Google.

7. Cookies

The booking page does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The admin area uses a technically necessary session cookie.
